Feng Shui for the Soul

Home-is-where-the-heart-isToday, Feng Shui is practiced not only by the Chinese, but by the entire world. People who believe in Feng Shui, know that it is not superstition but a law that gives balance, calm and healing to ourselves and our environment. This then allows us to create abundance, success and romance into our lives.

I believe you should use the principals with your own intuition so that you create a home or workplace with a positive energy, protection and comfort.

I learnt and use Black Hat school of Feng Shui, and also Denise Linn Feng Shui for the Soul and Space Clearing both based on using your own intuition to create a home environment that:

  1. Strengthens your health
  2. Excites your senses
  3. Nurtures your spirit
  4. Offers sanctuary from the outside world

Your Bedroom reflects who you are:

A bedroom that invites you, excites and calms at the same time. It’s your personal sanctuary. So your bedroom should not have TV’s, computers, exercise equipment or charging mobile phones. Open windows. Bedrooms need to have a good flow of energy for restorative sleep as well as sexual healing.

Lounge Room Dining and Family Rooms:

Open the windows often or use a good quality air-purifier to keep the air fresh and full of oxygen. I like salt lamps. Essential Oils can be used to clean the air and create the right environment

Indoor plants in home also keep the air clean, creating a feeling of calm. Appropriate lighting is very important, as light creates ambience one of the greatest manifestations of energy. Candles can be helpful for extra ambience as well. I like to live with soothing colours that are my favourite, it gives a flow as we move from room to room.

Simplify, clear your clutter:

Clutter is a Feng Shui no no. Clutter sets you up for failure and reflects how your mind is.

Test yourself with these thoughts.

Do I love it?

Do I need it?

Have I worn it in the last 12 months?

Does it reflect who I am?

When we are disorganised we waste a lot of time, this adds frustration and negative energy to our lives. So best to give it away to friends, family a charity shop or have a garage sale.

Finally one of my favourite poems – author unknown

If there is to be peace in the world,
There must be peace in the nations.

If there is to be peace in the nations,
There must be peace in the cities.

If there is to be peace in the cities,
There must be peace between neighbours.

If there is to be peace between neighbours,
There must be peace in the home.

If there is to be peace in the home,
There must be peace in the heart.
